Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
Far from perfect, many battle scars are showing... but if the light of Jesus shines through them, we have lived our purpose. Our desire is to point each one that crosses our path to Him, The One for whom we live our life.

Couragous
Through all of the situations life has thrown at us, the Lord has been healing a wound in my heart and soul of who I am as a woman through Steve.
I remember crying the day we found out we were having a girl each time, out of cheer joy, yet out of fear. Fear because all I could think for a moment was, Oh Lord, please do not let them grow up with the baggage I did... Please protect their emotions..
I was not healed myself, and thought how am I going to raise girls with damaged emotions? But God had a plan, SOOO thankful He does not leave us in our mess.
I am 32 years old and am just now coming into complete healing with the fact that what drove me in who I perceived myself to be, how I let other treat me, and how I perceived GOD had EVERYTHING to do with having NO father growing up, and then to have him come into my life for 12 years and keep stabbing that knife over and over again into my very core.
Sure I could say he doesn't matter, I am fine without him...
This is true ONLY because GOD has fulfilled in me the very promise HE set forth in His word to be everything I would ever need.
I am blessed to watch with amazement what I missed out on.
Now I understand why I felt so empty as a child and young lady.
He led my in laws step by step in raising the man I call husband today. Steve's brother also played a HUGE role and still does, in shaping who he is as a man.
When I see the girls serve their dad out of love and adoration, I hear them speak words of love and respect, I hear them go before the very Throne room of Grace on his behalf, I just weep with thanksgiving that they are growing up to be WHOLE women of grace, undamaged by their father.
I see them forming their opinion now of what they are praying for and expect in the man that God will bring into their lives one day.
They have a solid foundation in their Heavenly Father to stand on when the waves of life come crashing in, and a safe haven in their earthly father to shield protect and guide.
A whole unit, not better or less, but a WHOLE unit to work together to serve the Lord.
Relax into the arms of Jesus and let HIM help you find strength in the woman HE created you to be.
Submitting is such a blessing and an honor, nothing in this life has ever made me feel more complete, accomplished, empowered, loved, and complete, than being a wife and a mother. No degree I was seeking, no matter how many hours I would kill myself to work has ever given me the reward as having a husband cherish me, and children call me blessed.
Such a humble feeling... but am grateful.
I never could be totally committed to either because I was not committed to Christ, or submitted to HIS calling for my life..
That is not what I am trying to say..
I know that is the goal here in the wiseman home.
So we will patiently wait for it to come out on DVD and watch it.
If you survived to the end.. Thanks for listening to my heart today, and pray for us!! We pray for for all of you!!
Much Love, God Bless, and have a great weekend!!
Thankful
The girls and I have started a bible study together " How to be a Godly young lady in an ungodly world" Got through half of it tonight, had a great time of discussion. Many of the topics are not those that I feel extremely comfortable discussing in detail, but it is a must. I believe firmly that the Lord can and does give us wisdom and through HIS word we can and MUST tackle the issues today that are facing our youth, and specifically young ladies( in our home)
If we do not combat these issues with the word of God and talk it through with them, the enemy is more than ready to have the wrong things in place or people in place to lead their precious tender hearts astray. I am thankful for their heart for God, but I am painfully aware of the fight that is going on for their souls and minds. I am in need of God in a desperate way, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over our home, our children, and all we come in contact with. We must pray for discernment.. it gets rough sometimes... even uncomfortable. We are called to make decisions based upon the leading of the Holy Spirit, not what we feel comfortable with.
I tell the girls I am their mother number one, and their second best friend after Jesus. Their Daddy and Mama love them more than life itself... but HE loves them even more , He gave HIS life for them.
I appreciate the honesty, the transparency, willingness to share their hearts.
It is so true that if we do not get their hearts, we will loose them to this world. We live in this world but are not of this world as children of the most high GOD.
Folks we are in a battle, it is time we start recognizing it and GET IT together and FIGHT the good fight. War is not pretty, not easy, but so important to persevere... So glad our Commander and Chief is and will win this war.. So looking forward to that day. Are you?
I REFUSE to lay down and accept that we will loose our girls to the world just because it is what is main stream. My Bible tells me different.. it does NOT have to be that way.
When you can hear your children praying for one another and for their parents and rest of our family and friends, choked with tears and a real burden for the lost... makes me humble and cry out LORD I NEED MORE OF YOU!!
We need revival, in a real way... It is not long till those eastern skys will burst open wide, Oh Jesus may you find us faithful.
Proverbs 19 was our final passage tonight.
Trust you are having a good week, looking forward to Sunday to be in the house of the Lord!!

Look Up
by Charles R. Swindoll
Then God allowed Elijah to pass his mantle to Elisha, his successor. But God did more than that, abundantly more. For Elisha "arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him." God not only gave Elijah a successor; He also raised up a close, personal friend---someone who loved Elijah and understood him well enough to help and encourage him.
God has not designed us to live like hermits in a cave. He has designed us to live in friendship, fellowship, and community with others. That's why the church, the body of Christ, is so very important, for it is there that we are drawn together in love and mutual encouragement. We're meant to be a part of one another's lives. Otherwise, we pull back, focusing on ourselves---thinking how hard we have it or how unfair others are.
Elijah reminds us to look up:
Let's look up when He allows us rest and refreshment following an exhausting schedule that has taken its toll on us.
Let's look up and thank Him when He gently and patiently speaks to us from His Word after we've climbed out of a pit of self-pity.
Let's look up and praise Him when He faithfully provides the companionship and affirmation of a friend who understands and encourages us.
Let's look up and acknowledge the Giver more than the gift.
Times of Searching
The place of beginning, the place of the prayer, the place of battle, the place of death. We, too, have such places in our lives.
First, there's a place of beginning. That's home base---the very beginning of our Christian experience when we are born anew. That's our place of new beginning. At our own Gilgal, we become brand new.
For some of us, that place of beginning, that home base, is far in the past. Search your memory. Can you remember when you took your first few baby steps? You tottered a little, and those who loved and mentored you helped steady you on your feet. And you learned the basics of life: how to get into the Word; how to pray; how to have time with God; how to share your faith.
And then comes the place of prayer. Remember? You first began to learn what it was to sacrifice, to surrender things dear and precious to you. For some it was a miscarriage or the loss of a child. For some it was the loss of a husband or wife. Perhaps for you it was the loss of a job, your own business, or a lifelong dream never to be realized. Coming all alone to your own Bethel, you learned to pray.
God did a real work in your life as He carried you from that place of communion to the next stage He planned for you. And because you'd learned the value of prayer, you built your altar, and you learned even more at His feet. Search back in time. Remember?
Self-denial is hard to learn, but it's worth the effort.

1/4 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
2 tablespoon(s) dark rum(optional)
1 teaspoon(s) powdered gelatin

2.Whisk the yolks, 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, and 3/4 cup cream together in a medium saucepan. Transfer to a medium bowl and set over the ice bath. Stir to cool.
3.Add pumpkin, vanilla, spices, and salt to the egg mixture. Stir 1 tablespoon rum and 1 teaspoon gelatin together in a small bowl. Heat the remaining tablespoon rum, and stir in to the gelatin mixture until dissolved. Gently whisk into the pumpkin mixture. Beat 1/2 cup cream to stiff peaks, and fold into pumpkin mixture. Pour into a shallow dish, cover and chill until cold and thick enough to fall from a spoon in heavy dollops -- about 8 hours or up to overnight.
4.Beat the remaining cream and sugar to stiff peaks. Alternately layer the pumpkin mousse and whipped cream in a glass serving dish. Sprinkle the chocolate shavings between top two layers. Serve chilled.
Great day in the Lord
Was a very encouraging day in the Lord. Good services all day and much to absorb and grow from the messages heard preached from the word of God.
Last week was a REALLY hard week emotionally for me, man was it a fight.. So many things I do not understand about a particular situation, but this I do know.. MY GOD is in control and has control over all, He will never leave me nor forsake me, NO weapon formed against me shall prosper.. And when I feel the pressure and it seems dark, that is when I am under Gods mighty hand and HE is taking me deeper with HIM, HE will not give me more than I can handle with HIS grace.
I am so encouraged by that today.. Also encouraged that the old paths are the only way, I am thankful for that heritage and the road map " GODS WORD" to lead me in EVERY situation this life brings me.
Thankful for good friends that are there to support me and encourage me and pray with and for me. Thankful for family that loves me no matter what. Thankful I have a FATHER in HEAVEN who takes care of me and wants the best for me and is patient, loving, tender, kind, giving, merciful, and gracious. Thankful for Steves job and a nice home we are moving from to another nice home GOD gave to us. I am so thankful, so much to praise HIM for.
MOST OF ALL. I am thankful for JESUS, and the salvation HE gave me, this old wicked sinner, undeserving and undone as I was, HE cared for me and convicted me that I was lost without HIM and I needed a Savior. HE lives within my heart.. I do not have to guess, or wonder, or question. I KNOW I AM SAVED, I know HE sanctifies, I know HE will keep me, and NO man can ever pluck me from HIS hand!!!
Rejoicing in JESUS tonight.. Isn't God so good? ALL the time HE is so good!!
My new obsession..
I have joined a site I had never heard of until following these new blogs .. look me up over @ http://pinterest.com/steve_angelaw/ It is awesome.. finally something to keep all those great things I see online in one place without having a million bookmarks to scan through just for one item or idea!!
I LOVEEEE FALL... love this time of year.. SOOOOO stoked for Thanksgiving this year.. I hope and pray that all our family and friends that can, will be able to come over and share in the day of being thankful for Gods many blessings upon us. Gathering lots of neat ideas for that as well..
Every year I like to make all the traditional things and add at least 3 or 4 new ones to the mix.. makes for great memories as family making them, whether it be food or craft.

Beth Moore's commisioning Sept 10 2011
God has chased you down
And called you ALSO
You have a job to do
But you can’t really be you
Until you find a bigger “we”
You were created for good company
But never, ever forget
God never overlooks a single “me”
In that great big “we”
Let Jesus be the “He”
In your hermeneutic
Everything He teaches you
Is so that He can reach to you
Give Him open access
To every part of your life
Every struggle
Every temptation
Every aggravation
Every addiction
Every craving
All your caving
Give Him full authority
He’ll give you back your victory
As we go our separate ways
Always remember
That Jesus has passed you the salt
Shake some things up out there
To the greatness of Christ, the Son
Now unto Him who is able
To keep your feet from falling
Be glory and majesty
Power and authority
Forever and ever
Amen

Weekend
She treated me to lunch and blessed our family with dinner as well.. THANKS GIRL!!
Did not make it to church today( health stuff) but we did from home( next best thing when we can not make it to church) Bro Paul Chappell had a very good message, stirring, and convicting as well. That along with the day also being the tenth anniversary of September 11th.. Really drove the message home. We have got to WAKE UP people.. And be more Soul minded, not self minded.. That truly is the basis of Christs ministry, His greatest commandment was we Love the Lord God with all our heart and soul, and love others as ourselves. I admit I struggle with that sometimes, the love your enemy thing, but I am prayerfully working on it with the Lord. I do not hold hate, I just don't want anything to do with it.
Anyway, revising the memory of that horrid day, brought back so many emotions. Both from a national stance, as well as personal. I was not saved at the time and life was as bad as it could possibly get at that point in our life. I really do not think about that time period for several reasons.. So much pain, but it struck me that I should be able to look back on that and remember, and instead of pain, feel grateful for Gods mercy and grace!!! It is a good reminder to throw back at the enemy when he is attacking me in all manners..
So I found healing in that tonight, that God has forgiven and restored me, oh how I pray that for my country!!
I sat and listened to many of the videos from that time and have many thoughts I might share.. it is from a spiritual application aspect. Just how my brain thinks and process things.. might not be of any interest to anyone, but I still might share it. I will pray about it.
On another note I have a stack of paper work to get filled out and mailed out ASAP, a house to finish packing, cleaning, and many other things. So thankful the landlord of the home we are moving to is getting the house COMPLETELY ready for us to just move in( includes a deep clean) so thankful for that.
So looking forward to the move, it is such a cute house, looking forward to making it a home.. And it is just blocks from our friends :)
I have so many ideas for DIY projects, very excited to get some of those done and posted to share with everyone. The good Lord once again has answered not just one prayer but a HOST of prayers for us during this time. So so so thankful to serve a personal God that loves me and shows me just because He delights in me.
AND my favorite time of the year is almost here... FALL!!! and WINTER!!! I would have already had our home decorated for fall, but with moving that will be delayed a few weeks... but that is ok, will be wonderful when we can!!! Already decorating the house in my head!!!!
Hope everyone has a great start to the week, and wonderful Monday!!
Blessings on you all!!

9/11: A Day of Remembrance
"Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. The victims were in airplanes or in their offices. Secretaries, business men and women, military and federal workers. Moms and dads. Friends and neighbors.
"Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror.
"The pictures of airplanes flying into buildings, fires burning, huge structures collapsing, have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness and a quiet, unyielding anger.
"These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat. But they have failed. Our country is strong. A great people has been moved to defend a great nation.
"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.
"America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining."

#1 on my DIY list for new house- LOVE these kinds of clocks-love it stenciled!
Stenciled Clock Wall Decoration
When stenciling, pat the sponge in a dab of paint, and blot excess on the palette. Then apply paint in thin coats, taking care that it doesn't drip or pool, until the area is covered.
The numerals can be stenciled in any order, but these directions will maximize efficiency.
Tools and Materials
6 sheets of 11-by-17-inch vellum, printed with full clock template
Transparent tape
Drafting tape
Level
1 copy each of Roman numeral and dotted-arc templates
2 sheets of 11-by-17-inch waterproof paper
Cutting mat
Craft knife
Japanese hole punch
Small sheet of glass (palette)
Palette knife
5 to 7 ounces acrylic paint in dark green
Natural sea sponge
Arabic numeral stencil
Battery-powered clock mechanism
To Make Vellum Overlay
1. Arrange vellum sheets to create full template, and attach with transparent tape.
2. Affix vellum overlay to wall with drafting tape (making sure the top is secure). Use level to ensure numbers III and IX are aligned.
To Make Stencils
1. Affix Roman numeral templates to a sheet of waterproof paper; secure to cutting mat with drafting tape. Cut out I, V, and X with craft knife, and cut into 3 stencils. Remove template, and discard.

2. Affix dotted-arc template to a sheet of waterproof paper; secure to cutting mat with drafting tape. Use Japanese hole punch to make each perforation. Remove template, and discard.

To Stencil Dotted Arc
1. Align dotted arc stencil under vellum. Secure stencil with drafting tape, and tape vellum out of the way.

Prepare palette with paint. Use sponge to apply paint to stencil. Let dry 3 minutes.
2. Release vellum. Move stencil along arc, until only a few painted dots register on 1 end of stencil. Secure stencil and vellum with tape. Paint as in step 1. Repeat until dotted circles are complete.
To Stencil Numerals
1. Slide Arabic numeral stencil under vellum, and position the 1 stencil for "10." (It's easier to stencil the first number of a pair before adding the second.) Secure stencil and vellum with tape. Use sponge to apply paint to stencil. Let dry 3 minutes.
2. Stencil remaining 1, then stencil numbers 2, 3, 4, and 6, finishing with 5 and 0. Tape and release vellum as needed, leaving top secure.
3. Slide Roman numeral stencil under vellum.

Stencil Xs, then Vs, then Is. Let dry 3 minutes.
To Hang Clock Mechanism
On wall, mark center dot, indicated on vellum. Remove vellum. Follow manufacturer's instructions to hang clock mechanism.

Few scattered thoughts
Started out with one blog which led to another, to another, to another, and I just had to stop, bookmark for later, and start going through the ones I have found so far.
I get so excited when I see more TJED being talked about and used. We started down the TJED journey a few years ago and there were not many who were using or even knew what it was. Now there are groups and links and lots of info out there now. I LOVE it!!
I will admit however we do not go by TJED to the letter, however we do implement MOST.
I feel like there are not enough hours in the day ( I know, not an original thought) With packing to move and still trying to make sure school gets done, is somewhat tasking at times. Not complaining, just overwhelmed a little. We have had to switch gears for this month due to the unexpected move. Which is ok, just was all geared up for the lessons for this month we had planned. But God is so good, He has helped us to keep closer to it than I thought we would. Of course picking it back up next month will be just fine..
I love this time of year, looking forward to the temperature cooling down for more outdoor activities!! Fall is my favorite season, looking forward to thanksgiving!! Which also means we will have a 15 year old!!! Oh my stars, just typing that out is almost unreal.. WOW.. It is an exciting time though for sure. I find myself getting a lump in my throat thinking about how fast time flies by and if it is the good Lords will, will only have four more years with Shania before she goes off to college.
Our life has had many changes over the last few years, thought for sure we would be ten to fifteen years older before we started facing some of these things life brings.. but God has given grace through it all and I am so ever thankful for that...

Pouring Out the Water of Satisfaction
How can I pour out “to the Lord” natural love and spiritual blessings? There is only one way— I must make a determination in my mind to do so. There are certain things other people do that could never be received by someone who does not know God, because it is humanly impossible to repay them. As soon as I realize that something is too wonderful for me, that I am not worthy to receive it, and that it is not meant for a human being at all, I must pour it out “to the Lord.” Then these very things that have come to me will be poured out as “rivers of living water” all around me (John 7:38). And until I pour these things out to God, they actually endanger those I love, as well as myself, because they will be turned into lust. Yes, we can be lustful in things that are not sordid and vile. Even love must be transformed by being poured out “to the Lord.”
If you have become bitter and sour, it is because when God gave you a blessing you hoarded it. Yet if you had poured it out to Him, you would have been the sweetest person on earth. If you are always keeping blessings to yourself and never learning to pour out anything “to the Lord,” other people will never have their vision of God expanded through you.

Praise GOD!!!
His word is true, what He said He WILL do!! He takes care of HIS own.. No not always easy , but aren't you so glad He promises to never leave nor forsake us? Praise the Lord..
We got a house!!! The Lord provided just the one He wanted us in, truly is such an awesome testimony how the whole thing worked out.. Took a total stranger and put him at the right place at the right time, took us and did the same, and our two worlds met. God not only answered prayer in regards to the house, but with MANY MANY details along the way... He threw in extra blessings.. just cause HE CAN!!
We will be moving towards the end of this month so we are sorting and packing away. We meet to sign the lease this weekend!!
Did I mention that I love HIM??? Did I mention He has been faithful? TO EVERY promise He ever made me? I LOVE HIM!!!
So much to be thankful for!!
Trust everyone has a Blessed day!! Keep looking up, Jesus is coming soon!!!
