Dinner with Friends!!

Our Good Friends came over for dinner today!! My Friends MIL brought us a bottle of PURE Vanilla from Mexico.... To say I was excited is beyond words.. I have been wanting to buy a bottle from Mexico for a very long time!!

Had a very relaxing afternoon of visiting and chatting and eating the Yummy dessert my friend made =)
The girls played games with their friend while we ladies looked at pictures and yacked over some Mocha Coffee at the kitchen table(Shania was at the big table with us) :}

Which Jesus do you Follow

If a stranger approaches you and says they know your buddy “John”, but all their facts are wrong concerning him, you could safely conclude they are referring to a “different” John.

With that in mind, there are many religions that claim they know and believe in Jesus, but that doesn’t mean they are referring to the same Jesus of the Bible.

For example,

Mormons believe Jesus was the spirit brother of Lucifer. That's not the Jesus of the Bible.
Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus was Michael the Archangel. That's not in the Bible!
Muslims believe Jesus was just a prophet. That's definitely not what the Bible teaches.
and Bahai teaches Jesus was simply a messenger.

Notice how none of these religions teach what the Bible says, that Jesus was God in human flesh.

You see, the real Jesus sparked more controversy than any other religious leader in history.  He made radical claims, spoke, not from, but with authority, and forgave people of their sins; which was a hook that God alone could hang His hat.

He healed without medicine, fed thousands from a boy's lunch, and calmed the raging sea.

His claims: He claimed to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life and said that no man would come to the Father, but through Him.

He claimed to be the Bread of Life, the Light of the world, the good Shepherd, the true Vine, and the Resurrection and the Life, and He was ultimately crucified because He claimed to be God.

He was able to conquer death by rising from the grave as He said He would.

How is that?
Because,  He is the Christ, the Savior of the world.

So, if someone comes to you talking about Jesus, but he doesn’t sound like the Jesus of the Bible that's probably because he isn't.

A few of my Fall DIY decorations!!!
The wreath I hot glued&blinged up each piece individually .... Also made the bow!!!!
Happy with how it turned out.
Next made a center piece that I ended up giving to my Mother, the vase that I started with, during the process& finished pictures!!!

I love decorating and working with my hands. =)

OTHERS MAY, YOU CANNOT

If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 16:24-25)

If God has called you to be truly like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility. He will put on you such demands of obedience that you will not be allowed to follow other Christians. In many ways, He seems to let other people do things, which He will not let you do.

Others who seem to be very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires, and scheme to carry out their plans, but you cannot. If you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.
Others can brag about themselves, their work, their successes, their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing. If you begin to do so, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works. Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money, or having a legacy left to them, or in having luxuries, but God may supply you only on a day-to-day basis, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, a helpless dependence on Him and His unseen treasury.

The Lord may let others be honored and put forward while keeping you hidden in obscurity because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade.God may let others be great, but keep you small. He will let others do a work for Him and get the credit, but He will make you work and toil without knowing how much you are doing. Then, to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work, which you have done; this to teach you the message of the Cross, humility, and something of the value of being cloaked with His nature.
The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you, and with a jealous love rebuke you for careless words and feelings, or for wasting your time, which other Christians never seem distressed over. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign and has a right to do as He pleases with His own, and that He may not explain to you a thousand things that may puzzle your reason in His dealings with you. God will take you at your word. If you absolutely sell yourself to be His slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love and let other people say and do many things that you cannot.

Settle it forever; you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue or chaining your hand or closing your eyes in ways which others are not dealt with. However, know this great secret of the Kingdom: When you are so completely possessed with the Living God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of heaven, the high calling of God.

God’s Truth Incarnated

The tyranny of the urgent will always out-shout the essential nature of the important . . . if we let it.

We have to determine not to let that happen. The secret is establishing personal priorities. I have suggested four:

Set a firm foundation---be biblical.

Apply the truth of the Scriptures---be authentic.

Develop a compassionate attitude---be gracious.

Stay current, always up to date---be relevant.

As we begin to do this, Christianity becomes something that is absorbed, not just worn. It is more than believed; it is incarnated.

And if there is anything that will catch the attention of preoccupied people fighting the fires of the urgent, it is God's truth incarnated. It happened in the first century and it can happen in the twenty-first. Even in an aimless world like ours.
