Far from perfect, many battle scars are showing... but if the light of Jesus shines through them, we have lived our purpose. Our desire is to point each one that crosses our path to Him, The One for whom we live our life.

A lil something I wrote to Jesus in my prayer Journal, thought I would share
Like the angel that announced your birth,
Your Spirit announces Your worth.
You Reign in my mind, speaking truth that never ends, always abounds,
speaking life and joy, bringing peace where strife once lived.
You Reign in my soul,
the one only YOU could make whole.
By forgiving my sins,
leading me to death so in YOU I can live.
You Reign over all, bringing joy, peace, and love.
Your full of power and might,
never failing YOUR truth always prevailing.
You never change, Your word returns no void.
Your holiness over flowing, like the fountain of life,
you promised to always be my guide.
From Genesis to Revelations, from the throne to a manger.
You came to human life, and lived above all strife, never committing one single sin making it possible to live in holiness that never ends.
Thank YOU for the greatest gift of all,
YOU set me free, and in YOU Jesus, I am free indeed.
So on this, my 33rd CHRIST~mas, I sit here and write,
I wonder what it was like for the Shepard's keeping watch that night.
The wiseman as they journeyed on that silent night.
What Mary must have felt as she gave birth,
did they fully understand all Your worth?
The bright eastern star that stood over your head,
the Angel Gabriel looking down on Your lowly bed.
All of Heaven REJOICING, singing YOUR praise,
HE REIGNS Forever I'll Proclaim!!!
Merry Christmas everyone, I trust we all keep focused on who's day this really belongs too!!
Anticipation is building, just think.. OUR KING JESUS will be here soon to take HIS bride away!!! What a glorious thought!!
Happy Birthday Jesus, I love you!!

Happy Birthday to our BABY Girl
As I sit here, thinking, remembering, twelve years ago today we were blessed with another precious gift from Jesus. YOU!!!
Was a bit scary that day, and few days leading up to that morning. Our hearts sank when we were told you were in danger and so was momma, and they would need to take you via Emergency C-Section.
But Jesus had HIS hand on you and mama, and you arrived into this world just in time for us to have a special present for Christmas!!
This was different, special for reasons to long to list here ( but you have heard the stories)
This was hard on mama, for you see you would be the last baby Jesus would let us have, and I was sad at that thought, but quickly forgot all those thoughts as soon as I heard them say: " IT'S A GIRL!!!"
There were so many miracles surrounding that special day, and we were so thankful to GOD for bringing you safely to us, healthy, and PERFECT!!
Daddy was blessed to take time off work with you, something he did not get to do with your sisters. He was home to cuddle and spoil you rotten those first few weeks of your life.
Daddy stayed in the hospital with you and mama( as he did with your sisters) and you slept on his chest from day one!!
Mama was in lots of pain, but refused medication because I wanted the joy of breast feeding you, I had been praying I would be able to with you. Jesus answered that prayer!!
Kaity, you mean so much to me. Your little life has been used in ways only Jesus knows about!
Mama went to work when you were just 6 months old, and worked MANY long hours at the hospital... I was planning to go to medical school, thought that would be the thing to do, so I could help daddy provide all the things in the world for you and your sisters.
Jesus used a special occasion in your life to wake me up. I got a call from daddy while I was at work and he said " Kaity just took her first steps"
( my heart hurts just remembering)
I cried, oh how my heart broke that I was not there to see it, to share in that moment. It was in that moment while driving home and crying still, that I decided to drop my plans of becoming a DR.
NOTHING was more important to me at that moment, nor has been since, to spend these precious years with you and your sisters growing up.
At that time it was not as easy as it sounds, but all those years ago, Jesus seen my heart of hearts, and though was a long road, HE answered that prayer and mama was able to come home for good in 2003( except when I had to work here and there)
That marked another change in our lives, and mama and daddy has had the joy of homeschooling you and your sisters.
This mama's heart could burst to think of all the "firsts" that I have been able to be with you on.
But NONE will EVER compare to the night, as you knelt between your daddy and I beside our bed, and asked Jesus to come into your heart!!!!
Oh, what joy truly did enter our hearts and home these past five years.
God has blessed us to watch you grow with Jesus, us as your parents, your sisters, and family and friends.
Your simple faith in Jesus inspires me to be a better Christian, and mama.
Kaity, I am so very proud of you, and the young lady Jesus is making you to be!!
Thank you for all your help, your selfless giving of your time, energy, your heart!
Thank you for taking such good care of your mama, specially these past few years.
You never complain, you serve with such joy, and willingness.
Looking at this world through your eyes is so exciting!! TO have you honor us with sharing of your dreams, your hopes, your failures, your inspirations, we are blessed.
You were the perfect gift that December in 1999, and still are to this day!!
SO today I wanted to let you know, I LOVE YOU baby girl, and am so thankful Jesus has shared you with us these twelve years. I pray for many many more to come!!
Keep your eyes on Jesus sweetheart, never look back, life is in the present, day by day, walking with Jesus.
Never give up, never let down, keep walking, your head held high looking unto Jesus!!!
HE never changes, this baby girl I can promise you!!!
I dedicate this song to you today on your 12th Birthday!!

I copied this blog post off LPM's blog- Thanks Melissa for sharing!!
The Mystery of the Incarnation
The following selection is Gregory’s Oration 29.20 The Mystery of the Incarnation: A Scriptural Tapestry of Jesus as Man and God. The English translation is Rodney A. Whitacre’s own found in his book A Patristic Greek Reader (Peabody, Massachusetts: Hendrickson, 2007), 244-246. Whitacre’s aim is to provide a wooden-ish but readable translation from the Greek text for students who are learning to read the respective Greek portions. Please note also that the scriptural citations I have placed in parentheses here on the blog are not my own but are footnoted in Whitacre’s volume.
“He was baptized (Matt. 3:13) as man, but he destroyed sins (Matt. 9:6) as God; he himself was not in need of purifying rites, but [he was baptized/he came] that he might sanctify the waters. He was tempted (Matt. 4:1) as man, but he conquered as God; not only this but he even encouraged [us] to be courageous, since he had conquered the world (John 16:33). He was hungry, but he fed thousands (John 6:10); not only this but he is indeed life-giving and heavenly bread (John 6:51). He was thirsty (John 4:7; 19:28), but he shouted, “If anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37); not only this but he also promised that those who believe would gush forth [with water] (John 7:38). He was tired (John 4:6), but for those who are tired and heavy laden he is rest (Matt. 11:28). He was heavy with sleep (Matt. 8:24), but he is light upon the sea; not only this but he even rebukes winds; not only this but he even makes Peter light when he is sinking (Matt. 14:25, 29; Matt. 8:26). He pays tax, but [he does so] from a fish (Matt. 17:24-27); not only this but he is even king of those demanding [the tax]. He hears himself called a Samaritan and demon-possessed (John 8:48), but he saves the one who went down from Jerusalem and fell among robbers (Luke 10:30); not only this but he is even recognized by demons (Mark 1:24; Luke 4:34) and drives out demons (Matt. 8:16), and he sinks a legion of spirits (Luke 8:33) and sees the ruler of demons falling like lightning (Luke 10:18). He is stoned, but he is not caught (John 8:59). He prays (Matt. 14:23; 26:36; Heb. 5:7), but he hears [prayers] (Acts 7:59). He weeps (John 11:35), but he causes tears to cease. He asks where Lazarus [is laid] (John 11:34), for he was man, but he raises Lazarus (John 11:43), for he was God. He is sold, and very cheaply, for [it was] for thirty silver coins (Matt. 26:15), but he buys back the world, and [it was] for a great price, for [it was] for his own blood (1 Pet 1:18-19). He was led as a sheep to slaughter (Isa 53:7), but he shepherds Israel, and now, indeed, the whole inhabited world (John 10:11). [He is] silent like a lamb (Isa 53:7; Matt. 26:63), but he is the Word (John 1:1), being proclaimed by a voice of one shouting in the desert (John 1:23). He has been weakened, wounded, but he heals every disease and every infirmity (Isa. 53:5). He is lifted up upon the tree (John 12:32), he is fixed [to it] (Acts 2:23), but he restores by the tree of life (John 6:51); not only this but he saves even a robber crucified with [him] (Luke 23:43); not only this but he darkens everything that is seen (Luke 23:44). He is given cheap wine to drink (Luke 23:36), he is fed bile (Matt. 27:34). Who? The one who changed the water into wine (John 2:1-11), the destroyer of the bitter taste (Heb. 2:9), the [one who is] sweetness and all desire (Song 5:16). He hands over his life, but he has authority to take it again (John 10:18); not only this but the curtain is torn apart (Matt. 27:51); for the things above are exhibited (Cf. Rev. 11:19; 15:5) not only this but rocks are split; not only this but dead are raised beforehand (Matt. 27:51-52). He dies, but he makes alive, and by death he destroys death. He is buried, but he rises. He goes down into Hades (1 Peter 3:18-19), but he brings up souls; not only this but he goes up into heaven; not only this but he will come to judge the living and the dead . . . ” (Gregory of Nazianzus Oration 29.20, translation by Rodney A. Whitacre)Is that not incredible?
I mean, is Jesus not incredible?!
Life can get pretty noisy and busy two weeks before Christmas. People in store aisles fight over toys (or, at least they do in the movies) and people in the church pews fight over what Christmas is really supposed to look like. BUT, even in the midst of all the noise Jesus is so fiercely compelling, isn’t He? He draws us into His life and He moves us forward, beyond the bickering and even our well-meaning but sometimes misguided sentiment and nostalgia. A forest full of white lights as big as Texas can’t hold a candle to Jesus.
The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
on them has light shone.
Isaiah 9:2 ESV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:1; 4-5 ESV.
O, Come Let Us Adore Him.

Food for Thought
Thought provoking, heard things I have NEVER heard explained that I have ALWAYS wondered about, had what I do believe reinforced, encouraged, and definitely a call to dig in deeper.
I do not want to be guilty of doing to our children what was done to me . Now HEAR ME, I am NOT downing my mother when I say this. It is just a fact I was not raised in a christian home, and things fall between the cracks when that happens. BUT we serve a great big GOD who is BIGGER and over all of that, and she is walking with the Lord now, and so am I. Now having said that, there are things along this journey towards heaven I learn every day, like all of you.
Don't you just love how ALIVE and GOD breathed HIS word is every day?
So I will just post the points that were made, not sharing my personal notes.. just yet
1 Be balanced
A) Tradition- must be scriptural
B)Reason- Be reasonable, make decisions based on the principles of Gods word.
C)Experience- If we elevate our personal experience above Scripture, we have trumped what we are asking scripture to do for us. ( so hard not to inject my personal notes on this one)
2. Be Holy- refrain from the action of intentional sin, and also the nature of sin. We can live above intentional sin when filled with the Holy Spirit!
3. Be Holy for I am Holy" is what Jesus said in His word
4. Be a lover of GOD- a reckless abandonment to God, yield ALL!
5. Ought to be lover of Neighbor- Love one another,
6. Be Separate 2 Corinthians 6:17 - We live in a culture where there is a gender war going on.
7. Be orthodox
8. Be Authentic- Live above intentional sin, but when we do, we have an advocate with the Father. There was only ONE who lived a sinless perfect life JESUS!! Once in awhile we need to back up and use some powerful words " I am sorry to God and to Neighbor"
We do not have to sin in thought word and deed every day, why did Jesus die on the cross to leave us in them? In the process of maturity and living for the Lord, sometimes we drop the ball and sin, confess and MOVE ON. If we are not authentic we can not be a christian.
9. Be Flexible- Be gracious to others beliefs. We do not have to agree, nor be persuaded to either side. But we can be gracious and I want people to be gracious to me, I must be to them. Bible says do unto others as we would have them do unto us." Treat every person I come into contact as Jesus died for them too!
10. Be Biblical- We worship the GOD of the bible, live on Gods word. Endeavor to be faithful to the word of God in all matters of faith and practice. It is the inerrant, infallible word of GOD.

Awesome Birthday
I was down right spoiled all day, from an afternoon nap, to waking up to streamers EVERYWHERE!!!
On the door handle to the bathroom, across our bedroom door ( I had to walk through it to get out) and that started the party!!
Steve grilled out my favorite burger recipe, and girls got all the fixins to go with that, including making french fries!!
Shania baked me a cake, and I thought the fire marshal was going to have to be called..lol.. JUST KIDDING!!!
I was able to sit and relax and work on more Christmas decorations
( something I LOVE to do) was given AWESOME cards from the girls,
and a VERY special card from the love of my life ( he also surprised me and added a lil bit of something special)
After all that, we started to decorate the Christmas tree and we stayed up late until the very last ornament was placed, turned out all the lights, and just sat watching the lights, listening to Christmas music, and thanking GOD for another year to celebrate HIS birth.
If it wasn't for HIS birth, we would be lost with no hope!!!
I am so blessed, so thankful, so content, to be serving Jesus, to have the family I do, and friends. I could not ask for more!!!
My only desire is to serve Jesus with all I have, and keep my life yielded for HIS purpose and HIS glory!!
To know HIM more, to love HIM more, to be completely sold out to HIS will!!!
So excited to be celebrating MY KING JESUS' Birth!!!
I trust all of you are well and are filled with the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer!!!
Will be posting pictures, maybe later today ( it is almost 4am and I am yet in bed)
Thank you Jesus for giving me the gift of another day, week, month, and year to serve you. Please keep the desire in my soul on fire for you, keep me near the cross, so I might tell others of your great and mighty wondrous love and gift you came to the whole world to set us free to live for you!!!

Thankful
I decided since I made Fall lamp shades, I wanted to do the same for Christmas. I started in and it didn't seem to be what I had "pictured" but was already into it and to late to change it.. SO, went forward and it is cute, festive, and Steve and the girls like them.. that is what matters :)
Steve and Shania did a lil decorating out front, we are keeping it simple, but we like it and think it is cute!
Tree is up, and will decorate it tomorrow, as tonight we got side tracked with other "projects" and I need to clean up the glitter galore from all things crafts :)
My Mother and Grandmother came over today after their DR appointments and celebrated my birthday with me ( early) The greatest gift I could of ever wished for from each of them was given. 1) their time, and 2) A gift from their hearts in words and things I LOVE! ( will post pictures soon)
I feel so BLESSED, and overwhelmed at the goodness of God!!
He is so good to me, and shows me in so many ways. Family and Friends are SO SO SO very important to me, and I love to have them around!!
We( the girls and I) are planning to have a sleep over at their house soon to do some Christmas baking together, and play games, and make memories!!!
SOOOO Looking forward to that!!
Today also marked a BIG event in the life of our baby girl, so needless to say, today has been a wonderful day with lots of emotions.
We had a WONDERFUL day in the Lords house yesterday ( Sunday)
Very convicting messages on a call to TRUE and PURE Holiness of heart and living. Much soul searching to be done, Lord I need revival in my heart!!
Enjoyed fellowship at a friends home with her and her family, and were blessed with wonderful gifts from different countries they have been!!
GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
Jesus means more and more to me with each passing day. I am desperate for more of HIM.
Praying you all are having a wonderful week and are feeling the Joy of the reason we have this season!!
Until next time!!!!

We had our Niece here on Wednesday night and Thursday( however she did get sick- don't think it was my cooking :) ) ( she is better now)

Was time to eat.
We REALLY enjoyed having David and Lisa here ( Missed you Doug)
They really encouraged our hearts by coming to spend some time with us.
Truly is such a blessing.
Steve has been covering for the guy that works opposite of him, but we were thankful Jesus helped him to get done at a decent time to be home to enjoy the rest of Thanksgiving Day!!

Emotional
I am not grieving.. I don't think... Just can not believe how time flies by, and hit with the realization....
my time to shape and mold, influence, and lead, our lil girl is heading into a whole other phaze ( yes you read the word right- inside thing)
Have I done enough? Am I doing enough? Will it be enough?
I know these are all questions mothers ask themselves about their children.
I am most grateful that Jesus commands their destiny.
And I am blessed to say I get to go through these same emotions two more times :)
So I probably will not have time to post much more then a few pictures from my phone( love mobile blogging) So wanted to say a few things about and to our Shy gurl!!
Happy Happy 15th Birthday baby girl!! Daddy and Mama are SO VERY proud of you!!
How blessed we are to call you our daughter!! You simply amaze us!!
Thank you for keeping such a sweet spirit, even in times it was very difficult to do so.
Thank you, for praying, staying steady and strong in your walk with the Lord.
No you have not said anything, but I have watched as you quietly slip away to go spend some time with HIM.
Thank you, for being such a strong, courageous, and gentle mentor for your sisters.
Thank you, for stepping up and assuming a role that was never asked of you, but you did it anyway, because you love your family.
Thank you for the countless hours of serving us, your family in so many ways.
Thank you, for the late night massages, they have become a special part of our relationship.
I love the long talks, listening to your dreams, your hopes, your heart.
I am honored that you share so openly.
Thank you, for being willing to do the unpopular thing, even when it meant you were not voted the coolest friend to have.
Jesus never took His eyes off of your hearts intent for a second, and has honored you because of it.
I am proud of you for digging into who God is and searching His will for your life at this age.
We are so blessed by your giving spirit. You never hesitate to have your families back..
SO I hope on this your Fifteenth Birthday, you know how much you are LOVED!!!
I pray the Lord continues to lead you, honor you, and molds you, into the beautiful plan HE has written for you from before the foundations of the world were ever created.
You baby girl are written in the palm of HIS almighty hand and He does have a purpose and plan for your life.
This mama's heart is full, but so thankful that the good Lord has blessed us with another year to grow and love one another through HIS strength and might!!
Reach for the stars baby, but don't forget who made those stars,
store up your treasures in Heaven,
and never stop loving, no matter how hard it hurts.
Hold your head up high,
be confident in who GOD created you to be,
strive to be all HE has planned for you to be.
Never let the enemy trick you into giving that up,
or compromising for the fleeting moments of temporal pleasures.
Keep an eternal perspective,
one hand in Jesus' and His word in the other.
Walk on in faith,
through every trial,
every battle,
every situation.
Trusting that GOD doth all things well,
and one day
IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL!!!
Love always and forever, Mama

Psalm 146
Praise the Lord! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. The Lord shall reign forever Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 139
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall fall on me, Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mothers womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men. For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
