Verses out of the book of James

 James 1
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

From James 3

For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

James 4

whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life?
It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”
Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

James 5

You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned.
Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!
My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure.
You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath.
But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.
Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Where is October going?

Wow.. October seems to be going by so fast!
We are getting more and more settled in our new house, have almost all the Fall decorations up.
Now just starting to plan out Thanksgiving!
Not sure who all is going to be here, hoping to see family that is coming into town that week, and hope to have several friends over as well at some point that week.
God is so good, so many things to be thankful for.
Thankful for HIS protection on those we love, and grace to deal with the rough stuff of life.
Missions Conference started in Lancaster this weekend, enjoying watching it live stream , and hearing all the great testimonies of the different missions represented.
Looking forward to WHBC missions conference to start the week before GCC, hope to make it to GCC a few times, good Lords will.

Trying to keep relaxed and go with the flow of things, but there is so much I would like to do, I am anxious to get to doing some of it.
We have a Happy 15th Birthday coming up for Shania in November too!! She is VERY excited!

Very excited for the BRAND NEW Bible Study being released in November by Beth Moore!!!

Hope everyone has a great week, we have a busy one, but so thankful that we are so blessed to enjoy these things God has placed in our lives.

God Bless... Remember to count your blessings, name them one by one!
See how amazing our God is?
What a mighty God we serve!!

Praise the Lord!

I KNOW HE HEARD MY PRAYER!!

Last night the Lord touched me in a BIG way. My heart rate went down and stayed at 89-95.
Might not seem like  big deal to anyone else... Try living with the numbers I have, the little things are BIG things.
Woke up to it back at 125 and up and down, but I refused it, rebuked it in the name of JESUS, and we got ready and went on to church.
Oh how I am glad we went. Was EXACTLY what I needed.. Pastor preached on believing God, walking by faith, and how GOD IS GOOD even in the hard stuff..
Nothing is to big for our God!
Back of course acting up, half paralyzed on the right side last night, but GOD helped me to make it to both services today. So so thankful!
He also helped Steve in a BIG way. He was beat up from work... but GOD gave him the strength he needed, and our family received encouragement and a challenge  to dig deeper.

What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!!

Thank you Lord for your blessings on me!!!

I am trusting HIM to help in the weeks ahead, and as we continue to get settled.

Heart rate is staying elevated, but ya know what.. that is just a number.. GOD is working, and I refuse to accept ANYTHING else.

Oh wouldn't trade nothing for my journey now.
Nothing in the world satisfies my soul like my JESUS!

Check out Kelsey's blog link to the left :)

I encourage you to go read Kelsey's blog for yourself, but wanted to post this as soon as I could. I have been waiting for her to do it, so I could after she did!

She came to me one night several , several weeks ago and shared this with me out of her prayer journal.
Needless to say I was SOBBING in my heart, and shedding tears while she read it to me.
It's meaning is personal, but so encouraging wanted to share!

Below is what she wrote.

By Gods name

This was inspired totally by God he brought it to my mind a few weeks ago.
Cancer can be healed
Lives's can be saved
Thoughts can be changed
By Your Name.
Marriage's can be saved
Heart's can be turned
Battle's can be won
By Your Name.
The devil can be defeated
Insecurity can go away
Temptation can be destroyed
Hurts can be healed
By Your Name.
With faith we can believe
With hope we will receive
With Love we can know
By Your Name.

One Crazy Week

Wow, where to start,
Monday I started working on Fall Decorations again( even though we are not completely settled in)
Around 4pm my heart rate ( at what I saw) peaked at 150 beats per minuet..
I have been battling this all week as most of you know, well longer, but has been climbing again..
Steve and the girls were all out in the garage, and I was peeling garlic and got worse and worse, made it to the bedroom on the bed, couldn't talk, let alone breath good.. Charlie knew something was wrong and kept going back and forth between our room and the garage door.
I prayed for someone to come in, forgetting I had my cell in my hand. So I called them in here, all I could get out was need help.
Steve called my DR and of course they wanted me to the hospital ASAP. Well I was not calling 911 because they would of took me to Dell Webb,, and we ALL KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THAT!!
So off to JCL DV we went, I did not understand why this was happening , but knew I did NOT want to stay in the hospital.
The good Lord had already stared lowering my heart rate and blood pressure without meds, and had familiar nurses on( sad when you know an ER nursing staff) The ER Dr was very nice, they took great care of me as always, called my DR and of course the option to stay was on the table, but he didn't make me, so I chose the other option of going into the office to see him ASAP.
Several of the answers to prayer that night were, labs, CXR, and a few RX refills done. That accomplished somethings that have been needing to be done.
My blood work over all is just fine, still no high cholesterol or anything like that. No sign of heart disease ( confused yet? lol)
So  my appointment is still the same, on the 24th of this month.
I came home in severe pain with my back still, and has been all week a battle. So I decided I better listen to the Lord, my husband, and DR's.
I have just sat around doing crafts..
So our week of take it easy has been, marking LOTS of things off our to-do list!!! :)

I am feeling some better, still weak, and in pain, but not like I was. And so far heart has not gone back through the roof!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!

So tomorrow the girls and I are having coffee with a friend of mine, she only lives a few blocks away so don't have far to drive :)

Now ya know I have relaxed if I am going to show a craft and not worry about the background!!
Yes we are still un packing, and hanging pictures, and arranging furniture.. but FALL is here people ( regardless what the weather says) and I want to enjoy it!!

LOVE FALL, did ya all know that (wink :) )
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Below you will find pictures from my phone of the lamps.
Like I said, Steve spray painted the bases black( they look so pretty) and I decorated the lamp shades that were an ugly supposed to be white color. BLAH! boring...
So now we will need to hit up the thrift stores or garage sales for a few more lamp shades for Christmas ;) .

Update of sorts on me

So thought I would jump on here and give ya an update on my health, as some have asked how I am doing.
I have an appointment scheduled the 24th of this month to see one of my Cardiologists...
I know one thing for certain will be medication adjustments, and talk over how I have been since my surgery, and possibly more tests..
Here is one of my prayer requests regarding this: We have NO Insurance and are self pay on EVERYTHING from medication to Dr's to testing...
To do the test repeats that might want to be done will cost into the THOUSANDS, and we do not have that..
I know GOD does and am really not worried about it, but if you would just pray that God would give us wisdom, and give my DR's wisdom.
There are no procedures they are willing to do at this point due to the position of where the problem is on the left side of my heart.
If you remember after the surgery us telling you how the DR said, unless I go into cardiac arrest, and am already at risk of dying, he will NOT touch it. It is to life threatening. I will have to just live with this.. And by Gods grace, I have been and will until I am healed...
I have no doubt at all God will heal me when HE is ready.
God has been in charge of all of this from the start, this I DO NOT doubt.. And I know HE STILL IS!!
I am human, and the pain gets on my nerves at times, not breathing well because at resting my heart rate is still at 130 beats per min. ( all you medical professionals know what that means) and I do NOT enjoy sitting on my duff and only moving when necessary( almost feels like bed rest..lol)
I do so appreciate the prayers I know you all are already praying for my family and I...
The Lord likes to nudge me out of my comfort zone once in awhile, thus the public report.

Next prayer request would be, for my back.
Specifically the pain as a result of the tumor on my spine( actually not on it, but wrapped around it)
Spoke with my Spinal Specialist office yesterday, and due to the delicate location of the tumor, unless it turns into cancer, or becomes life threatening( go paralyzed, and loose ability to control body function) I am a none surgical candidate.

SO, all of that to say, GOD is SOOOO good to me....
no I am nor have I ever been through what some of you have...
but with the trials I have been through,
God has SHOWED up in a BIG way and has comforted me, kept me, sustained me, encouraged me, carried me, and is SO SO REAL to me. I love HIM so much.
He has encouraged my family through this, brought us all closer to the Lord.
Steve has been amazing, our girls  have been amazing.
The Lord brought to my mind one day, what if we did not have these trials in our life, would the girls still know how to stop in the middle of something and in an instant enter the very Throne Room of Grace on behalf of someone? Meaning, they have learned through this the power of prayer.
There have been many times here at home, we did not have time to stop and call for prayer from someone else, it was urgent and just us here in the house.
I know the power, I FELT IT when they circle around me, linking hands, and holding on to me, and each precious girl goes before their LORD on my behalf. To SEE before their own eyes before the last prayer was done, my heart just settle right down,
and The Holy Spirit flood our lil home with HIS mighty presence..
IT IS REAL!!
Would I be in such close commune with my Savior if not for these trials?
To be in a "prayer without ceasing" kind of life, brings so many joys, peace that passes all of my understanding, make the burden to pray for friends and family that NEED the Lord even more real, because I do know how fragile life is.
It can be over in an instant...

Do you know where you would go if that happened?

To watch The Lord lead my husband and grow him through all of this and the many other trials that life brings each of us, has been more than I know how to put into words at this moment.
I am so thankful for  a husband that will go before God and pray over me at a moments notice.
I can call him at work and he will stop whatever he is doing and pray for me.

So all that to say, I am thankful for the blessings that have come from these trials,
I am thankful for the hope, the promise that one day we will ALL have a brand new body.
No more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow..
IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL!!!!
And I KNOW HE hears each one of our prayers.

Oh I have so much to learn, I need more of Jesus, I yearn for more of HIM and less of me.
I want to please my Savior.
I never want to face life without HIM again.
Don't believe the lie the enemy of our soul tells us...
he is out to ruin our lives..
MY KING JESUS is out to SAVE our lives..
and make it into the beautiful plan HE has had
from before the very foundations of the world was ever formed.

PRAISE YOU KING JESUS!!!!!
I love you, I adore you, ALL honor and glory belongs to you!!
So glad to have a FATHER in charge of it all!!

Trust everyone has a Blessed Lords day!!!

THANK YOU again for all the prayers..
We do pray for all of you that we  both know and do not know!!

Will the boxes ever end?

We empty, and empty, and empty some more... boxes are cut down, trash taken out...
Another pile of boxes EMERGE out of the endless box hole..ha!

So I am really not complaining ( or am I?) Either way very thankful to be moved, but man... this moving thing is old... lol.. We did out traveling 20's/early 30's. I would like to stop there in the early 30'somethings.. lol..

We are cleaning windows, vacuuming the wooden blinds and wiping them down. Shampooing the couch and chair, hanging pictures, organizing the pantry and freezer...

Now time to get the kitchen finished.. and  I say it is 5' O clock in Surprise AZ and time to clock out of work... but that only lasts for  a moment because I am SOOO excited to get the house decorated for FALL!!!  It is starting to pull together, but still lots to do... I did finally give in and decided painting the house would wait until at least Spring.. We will have so many decorations hanging one can only hope you type A personalities will not notice the mis-matched patches on the wall( I know I am trying to pretend they are not that bad)

I feel so behind with out homeschool group it isn't funny...  I promise ladies, we will make it ONE of these Monday's SOOON!!!! I decided to go the less pressure rout during all of this, so thus our absence. Want the house unpacked, our school walls put up, and decorated so we can enjoy the season!!! Love this time of year.. Love it Love it L O V E I T!!!!!!!!!

Very thankful for the Lords many Blessings upon us, so undeserved that is what we are.

Well I hear a box calling my name.... ( maybe it is the scrap booking box)
Hope everyone is having a fantastical week!!
