Just a few thoughts on Camp Last Night

The Lord helped us make it to the last night of Mesa Camp!!
Wow, how the Holy Spirit moved& anointed Bro Steve's preaching.
Was exactly what we want... Good 'ol fashioned Holy Ghost Fire , straight down the wire , banana pudd'n eat'n, seven row spit'n Fire Preach'n!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again...
Not original with me. A quote by Bro.Berry
"Hey I'm glad I was birthed in the Fire cause I can't handle the smoke"
Amen & Amen!!!

God is still God, He has not nor will He ever change!!
His word is truth and returns no void.
I'm not preaching at anyone, I'm the chief of all sinners as the Apostle Paul said...

I don't know about you, but I've made up my mind no matter what others say. I will follow Christ and walk in His ways
(words by the McKamey family sp?)

It's so easy to get our eyes on things temporal, people will hurt us.. As Bro Steve preached tonight, human love won't carry ya to far!!
Gotta be filled with the Spirit to run this course!!

I want depth... Not just a shallow walk!!
You can make fun, say things have changed. Call it legalistic, that's okay.
But I have joy, peace, love, that the world can't give and can't take away.
I may have my skirt a little to long for your taste, my hair just a little to long to fit this face. I don't bother trying to cover it up cause honey, it is what it is&adding all that powder just makes it stick out more.
It may appear I'm missing out...
Your right!!!
I'm missing out on all the heartache that I use to live with , missing out on the misery of drowning my pain in a bottle, missing out on the pain of living stressed because the bills can't get paid, that void couldn't be filled!!
Been there, done it, and by Gods eternal powerful Grace, don't ever plan on turning around on God now and building those bridges back to that life.
I burned every single one down when I jumped in both feet December of 2006!

I may if walked a little slower than some thought I should, or a little faster than others thought I would..
But if you just knew where God found me and where I am today, you would understand why I believe in this Old Fashioned way!!!

No man or woman, boy or Girl told me what to do . I can testify I walked it every step Jesus told me to.
I haven't arrived, this much I know !!
But I'm gonna keep walking along this narrow road!!
Don't look at me to closely , ya see I haven't arrived.
But I'm walking with Jesus each step I take, I'm looking to Heaven, this old world to shake ...
Filled with the Spirit is my desire, tell the whole world it's not old nor retired.
Quiet I may have gotten, but back up, because honey I'm still a walkin!!

Holiness unto The Lord is my watch word and song.. I'm gonna sing it, shout it, loud and long!!!

We better stop sizing each other up, let God do that it's not our place.
We are heading up the same road, so take my hand and together we can stand. Tell others to join us as we go.. Here's a little secret"it's not a private club"

Break down them walls, I'm no better than you& your no better than me. We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
We all have had to walk down that same 'ol aisle.
Hit a knee and pray it through, so ya just better get use to I'm gonna be livin with you.
Up in Glory one sweet day, and I want to stroll over Heaven with You!

Maybe now that I got that off my chest, I can go back to bed =)

Love y'all and pray for ya too, don't forget we need it too!!!!

Chocolate Covered Pecan Butter Truffles
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour, 35 minutes
Yield: 50-60
Creamy, homemade, pecan butter, mixed with sugar and covered in chocolate! The perfect holiday truffle!
Ingredients
  • 3 cups raw pecans
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3- 4 cups chocolate chip (semi-sweet or milk)
Instructions
  1. Pour the pecans into a large skillet and toast, stirring often, over medium, heat until fragrant. This will take about 4 to 8 minutes.
  2. Pour the toasted pecans into a food processor and blend, pausing to scrape down the sides with a spatula often. It will be crumbly at first, but will eventually blend into super-creamy goodness after five to fifteen minutes (mine took about 6 minutes).
  3. Add a pinch of kosher salt. Blend again, taste, and add more salt if needed.
  4. Dump the pecan butter into a large bowl, or bowl of a stand mixer, beat the pecan butter and butter until combined. add vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until combined. The dough will not be stiff.
  5. Line two baking sheets with wax paper.
  6. Using a teaspoon size spoon, scoop the dough onto the baking sheets. Try to be as neat as possible, you want a somewhat round shape.
  7. Freeze the balls for 45 minutes to an hour.
  8. While freezing, melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave (stirring every 30 seconds).
  9. Remove one pan of pecan butter balls from freezer( if you would like to shape your balls better, now is the time, but do so quickly) and immediately dip, covering the ball completely in chocolate. Repeat with the remaining pan.
  10. Refrigerate until ready to serve – at least 25 minutes. If desired drizzle with melted chocolate before serving (webpage I found this at)
