Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
This passage of scripture goes on to say what has become our "theme" if you will, around our home.
Finally, brethren,
whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virtue and
if there is anything praiseworthy meditate on these things.
The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.
And my God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen"
( Philippians 4:4-9,13,19-20)
I am so thankful for God and HIS word!
I am thankful that " He is my help in my present need"
Steve has still been REALLY sick.
I know pneumonia usually isn't too big of a deal for most. Yes it is miserable but recovery is usually about a week and your back on your feet.
Well for Steve it is not that way
( he has a few health issues that makes it more complicated)
specially if he is run down physically.
And he is!!
So he called off today from work, ( Thursday) and tomorrow(Friday) but still might have to do the on call for Friday night
and pull his shift for Saturday and Saturday night.
The last time he was this sick was about 11 years ago
( and was in ICU, we almost lost him)
Jesus has kept His hand on my dear hubby no doubt
( thank you for all your prayers)
He has improved some, but not enough to return to work, and the DR was VERY concerned at his appointment this morning( Thursday am)
We received some jolting news in regards to his health, took us both by surprise( yet not me so much, I have already been concerned and praying about this, little did I know it would come up during the appointment)
I admit my initial response( inwardly of course) was that emotion I call
" the grip"
But I started praying for HELP!!!
and wisdom, but most of all, strength from Jesus.
And I kept saying over and over in my head " God is in control of all!!
This is no surprise to HIM... Lord, what does this mean?...
but I knew if I gave in to that "grip" fear would come shortly after..
I refused it in JESUS name, and came back into focus, giving GOD praise..
Knowing our Father doth ALL things well!!
And the thought of what seemed like a mountain..
We knew we REALLY needed all his medications refilled,
and more to get him well again.
DR started talking about what all she wanted to give him and I said, just give him whatever he needs, I don't care what it cost.. ( yet praying Lord HELP)
At the same time, we knew we could possibly be forking out some MAJOR bucks on his medications( we are cash pay)
and they add up to around two thousand dollars for all his medications.
We had been praying along this line anyway, and I asked Jesus for a few specific things for this situation.
JESUS ANSWERS PRAYER!!!!
Our PCP has NEVER given out samples for the meds Steve is on
( they are VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!) example of one inhaler is $150....
Anyway, as we are getting near the end of the appointment, she went out of the room and came back in with SEVERAL of each inhaler he uses.
MAJOR PRAISE TO JESUS!!!
And she wanted to put him on Levaquin.... this is a 400.00 medication..
She left the room and came back in and said, I have samples ready for you to pick up at our other office.
Another MAJOR PRAISE TO JESUS!!!!!!
SO we walked out of the office with roughly around 800.00 in meds,
went and picked up the others.. worth 400.00 for a total of 1200.00!!
Went to our pharmacy after a few stops I had to make( at my own DR's)
and picked up two more medications he REALLY needed..
Expected to pay what we knew our previous pharmacy charged( 60-80.00)
and walked out paying ONLY $14.00!!
PRAISE YOU FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO Jesus got him all those medications that normally would of cost us $1280.00
( we didn't get the others, he still had some at home)
for $14.00 plus office visit!!!!
I could still shout just sitting here typing this.
You ask, why am I putting our personal stuff out there???
BECAUSE JESUS DESERVES ALL THE GLORY AND PRAISE!!!
Steve has had an anthem since he got saved.
It is called "That's My King" by DR.SM.Lockridge
His word IS enough, His grace is sufficient, He's eternally steadfast.
THAT'S MY KING!!! Do you know Him?
We couldn't make it without Him. I don't want to ever try again.
I love you Jesus!!! Thank You for your Blessings, Your Grace and Mercy!
